You've got a home gym. Or a garage setup. Or a Peloton, dumbbells, and a bench. And you don't want to drive to a studio, sit in traffic on the 101, or share equipment with strangers. In-home personal training solves all of it — and for the right client, it's the best format there is.
In-home is the right call for very specific situations:
You don't need a $50k home gym. The minimum effective setup:
That's a $600–$1,200 setup and it covers virtually every program we'd design. Full breakdown: $200 Home Gym Guide.
| Format | Typical Cost per Session |
|---|---|
| In-home private (Westlake, TO) | $180–$225 |
| In-home private (Calabasas, Hidden Hills) | $200–$275 |
| In-home semi-private (couple/2 people) | $110–$150 per person |
| Hybrid: 1 in-home + online programming | $500–$1,200/mo |
| Studio comparison (for reference) | $150–$225 |
The premium over studio training reflects travel time, setup/teardown, and typically a more experienced coach (who else can charge these rates and stay booked).
Many of our Calabasas and Hidden Hills clients run a hybrid: 1 in-home session per week with the coach, plus a fully programmed at-home plan for the other 2–3 sessions with weekly check-ins. Cost lands around $600–$1,000/month, and it captures 95% of the results of full in-home coaching at 40–50% of the cost.
How it works:

A 10x10 area works for almost anything. A garage bay is more than enough.
We bring supplemental items (bands, mobility tools, specific attachments) but rely on your setup for the primary work. If you're short on essentials, we tell you specifically what to add.
Absolutely. Backyard or patio sessions are common in the Conejo Valley for 8 months of the year.
The hybrid model is ideal for you. In-home when you're home, online programming to travel with, video check-ins on the road.
Yes — semi-private for couples is popular. Your programming and their programming aren't identical; we can absolutely run two people at once with different plans.
